Shkarkimi i Linux:

- ISO DVD Image (~ 4 Gb) qe permban DVD e instalimit

Boot Method Kickstart file Installation Tree
Case 1 Boot locally  Get kickstart file from local media Get installation directory tree  from the network (NFS/FTP/HTTP)
Case 2 Boot locally  Get kickstart file from the network ( NFS/FTP/HTTP server) Get installation directory tree  from the network (NFS/FTP/HTTP server)
Case 3Boot through a PXE enabled NIC from a PXE Server available on the network Get kickstart file from the network ( NFS/FTP/HTTP server) Get installation directory tree  from the network (NFS/FTP/HTTP server)

The system can boot through a net install ISO image and then find the installation files in a network server either FTP , HTTP or NFS.

In this example we are using an FTP server and/or an HTTP Server as an installation source.

Install FTP Server
Define list of users who can have access to the ftp server
upload installation media to the FTP Server

Software in this lesson:

- in d:\linux course\Installation Media\CentOS-6.4-i386-bin-DVD1.iso ( ~ 3.4G)
- in d:\linux course\Installation Media\CentOS-6.4-i386-netinstall.iso ( ~ 200M)
- Installed CoreFtp Client to upload the installation media on the server

Notes:
Make sure to stop the firewall ( service iptables stop)
